My brother is homeless in Michigan.

My family hasn’t spoken to me and my brother in a long time due to a nasty divorce by my parents. I told him he could come live with me and start his life over here in arizona where i am at. I looked into plane tickets and way to much. Greyhound has a ticket from Detroit to Glendale az for 102 dollars and if i buy it online i have to pay a gift ticket fee which is 18 so the ticket comes out to 120. I am barely getting by with my job and paying rent electricity and all that. Does anyone have a heart and can help me out. ive tried selling a few things on ebay and nothing i am very scared for him can someone please help.

he has been in and out of the homeless shelter they only have some many free beds a night and sometimes he doesn’t get to stay there because of that. I know hes been eating at the soup kitchen so i guess that helps. I am at a loss on what to do. I have been homeless before myself but at least i had a car back than i was 18 and on the streets so i know what is going through his head.

Honestly my credit sucks so ive tried getting a loan from many websites. Im sure i can come up with something. Im just scared for him thats all.

Our society doesn’t treat homeless people well. They remind us that we are only two or three weeks away from where they are. Tell you what you do: tell your brother to find an Episcopal church and meet with the rector, and ask if he can help from his or her discretionary fund for a bus ticket. They will usually help!

well the ticket is 102 plus 18 dollar gift ticket fee so its 120 ive got like 25 or so set aside for it but i need like 100 for it at the moment

Take that back i need 82 dollars my friend just bought my dsl modem i was trying to sell so i need 82 for the ticket.

Hey, I am a student in Mt. Pleasant and I am wanting to do a story on the struggles of homelessness- would your brother or anyone he knows be willing to do a photo story?
