i really want a dog i am an only child and on holidays i get really lopnley and bored!

!
my mum likes dogs but my dad just wont say yes, he gets really annoyed everytime i mention it ! my mum would let me have if my dad said yes, how can i make him want one ????help!

I don’t know… some dads are difficult to talk to.

ANYWAY,

Why don’t you try talking to him? Ask him why he won’t approve? And then try to share your reasons why you want one. Maybe compromise with him. Just make sure you will be responsible enough to take care of a pet dog… having a pet is fun but it also entails you to do MORE than your usual stuff.

Look sad, not too sad, act like you lost your best friend…..

What might help more is taking on more responsibilities around the house to show them your serious about what you want…..you may not get a puppy but you will become more responsible……anyway..let them see you are serious……if that doesn’t work….find creative ways to drop hints……

watch the movie Winn-Dixie there are lots of good lines that the little girl says to her father to allowing her to keep the dog. Tell him what you told us that your lonely. You have no one to play with because your an only child.

same for me, but i have a brother.. but we always fight and everything!
and i really really really want a puppy!

my mom wont let me get one, my dad says cats are okay for some reason but not dogs!

what should i do?
i will have to take full care of it
and if i do het one what will happen when i am at school?

I’m a mother and my daughter wants a dog. But we have 3 cats and a chinchilla… I don’t want a dog. But she keeps crying and begging me… no reasoning works with her. what should I do?
