absiolutly hate that song.. one of the most annoying melodies i’ve ever heard.. the “what if god was one of us” line.. and the whole meaning behind the song.. just stupid. don’t mean to sound too negative, but i do hate that song lol

lol, sorry, it was on an advert a while back and that’s how I first heard it.. it just made me cringe.. and when I heard the full song.. wow.. horrendous.. it’s up there with “Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft” from The Carpenters.. AWWFULLL.. lol

i heard this song a few times but didn’t actually listen to the lyrics lol, dunno where i heard it but i think its good if it gets us thinking bout stuff and yeah i think its ok, i know the chorus but didn’t realise what it was about LOL

i find this song very thought provoking. really? what would you do if God was one of us? then, he may not be a god at all, right? and what would you do if He has a name? can you call it to his face? if he has face, would you want to see?
this song may sound heretic but, really, if you do believe in God, of course you are expecting to see Him, to meet him, sooner or later. but what makes me consider this song a thought provoking one is this line:”if God has a face what would it look like, and would you want to see if seeing meant that …..”.
i think this line nails the essence of the song,if you have to see Him, then surely you have to believe that there is really a God and at the same time you have to believe that tragedies and heartaches had happened… just a thought…
