I would like to have a dog, my parents agree, but they don’t want to have dog from shelter or mix.

We only can have pure dog. But we don’t have money. I know nobody who would like to give me expensive pet, i can’t earn money, do you know, how can I solve my problem? Do you know anyone, who would like to give me money or dog?

Check on Craigslist. A lot of times people put up their animals when they can’t keep them anymore.

I think it is so sad people won’t get dogs from shelters or get mix breeds. I worked in an animal shelter, and believe me, you will never find such loving, amazing dogs, so deserving of love and a second chance. I think you should talk to your parents about that.

People give up their lives in shelters (in good ones anyway) to look after these dogs, and the tragedy that has happened to some of these dogs is shocking, yet they are still adorable and totally open to loving every human in sight! I remember leaving the shelter I worked in and crying as I said goodbye to some of the dogs. I knew what horrible stories were connected to some of them, yet the unconditional love they showed me and the other workers was incredible.

Some of them don’t have horrible stories and were either born there, or left there by owners who were moving and had no space, or realised they had no time to care for them.

I once read a story from the point of view of a dog who had been with a family for 8 years and loved them dearly. The family got a new puppy and decided they didn’t have room for two dogs, so they got rid of the old one and put it in a pound. It talked about how the dog kept hoping they’d come back, but they didn’t. And how every time someone came in looking for a dog, he’d rush epectantly forward, but they would always stop at the cute puppies and look at them instead. Eventually, he accepted that he was going to die, and after a few days he was put down. It described the feeling he had as he slowly was ‘put to sleep’, and how his last thoughts were of his family and how much he missed them. Itt really made me cry, and I just wish people had enough compassion to save a dogs life and not get a pedigree pure breed dog, but go to a pound or an animal shelter. It costs less, and you can make a real difference to there life.

I agree with Cecilia , we had dogs from the pound growing up , I have fond memories of one such dog Patrick…..he was a bit of this and a bit of that , but really he was just an amazing dog , he died in my arms , I’ll never forget that last look he gave me , it was almost like he was thanking us for 14 years that he spent with us.
Who will ever know what life was like for Patrick before we rescued him.
Anyway its down to this…..rescue a dog today that needs you , he or she will love you for life…will ask you for nothing other than a bit of kindness.
I have had pedigree dogs, and let me say they are more prone to sickness and other problems. But apart from that they are fastly becoming a fashion statement for a lot of people. And when they are done they trade them in. Criminal.
Go to the shelter and make a dog’s day.

Stay Cool Everyone.

Dogs that are rescued can make the best dog you will ever own. You just have to make sure that it fits your lifestyle and that you don’t set your expectations to high. Any dog will always love you no matter what….Good Luck

Hey We have a wonderful dog that was lost and cannot find her owner she is part keeshond and part pomerian. She is black with silver underneath. The most loving dog we have had. Our problem with keeping her is we have a Terrier mix who is eight years old and has been the only one here and she is rejecting the new dog. She has a heart condition and we hate to get her upset. The new dog is loving, playful and obeys very well. You can tell she has had lots of love and attention. We would love for someone to give her a good home. Please contact us at i> small>(email removed) /small> /i> if you are interested. We live in Middle Tennessee in Overton County, Feel free to call 931-445-7881. Hoping to find a home for “Bella”.
