Ekh, my fingers are too slow!

My piano teacher has asked me to practice and practice and practice this piece I’m currently playing (Beethoven sonata in c minor op.13) and I can do the first half but when it gets fast my fingers tie themselves in knots and I can neither get the chords
nor the lovely long runs!

I there any way I can improve my finger speed and flexibilty?

Start off playing it at like quarter speed. Once you are comfortable with the notes, start speeding it up like a metronome mark at a time.

yeah and you can do some finger excercises to loosen up the muscles in your fingers

so 1 finger exercise is to spread your fingers wide, until they hurt
when they hurt, stop
then relax your fingers, keep them loose, then with your left hand, bend your fingers back for 3 seconds and then let go, then do the same for your left fingers with your right hand
and keep doin this until u think you’re fingers have had enough and then slap someone on the face to relieve yourself of any anger

2nd exercise is to curl your fingers into a fist, then open them wide, then curl again, then wide again, then clap, then click, then clap, then click, then slap someone in the face to relieve yourself of any anger

now, when uve tried either or both exercises, let me know if they actually worked cuz i jus made em up on the spot
impressive huh?
=D
you’re very welcome
