Love help: Should I move on? - Help.com

Should I move on?

Okay… this is going to be one of those stupid internal questions but hey, I figured why not put it on here, maybe someone can help me.

So anyway… I have broken up with my ex-boyfriend a little more than two months ago. The first weeks, I was devastated… I was sad, depressed, etc. but also mad at my ex. The weeks after that, I just started forgetting about him, trying to forget everything that happened (which was surprisingly pretty easy to do) and we started talking less and less.

But eventually, I move on (or so I think) and start liking this other guy… and well… he liked me too. But neither of us made a move. We just started hanging out and talking more and more and well, we like each other’s company. We’re still “just friends” though. And I’m fine with that.

But my ex has been trying to be my friend again, about the same time I’ve started developing interest in the new boy. So then he just expects me to tell him everything I’ve been doing with the new boy, but I don’t because my trust in him was crushed a bit. But then he told me what he really felt and it made me feel bad.

So these past few weeks my ex has been really good to me, he’s been nice, and he’s acting like the way he did before we started going out (we went out for about two months) which is nice because the time before we went out was the peak of my attraction towards him.

But now I’m confused… I like the new boy whole lot (I mean… a LOT), and in my opinion, he’s such a better match for me than my ex was. Except this new boy is popular and handsome and basically everybody thinks he’s attractive and likes him.

And also, I think I’m starting to fall for my ex again. I don’t know, lately I’ve been smiling when he calls, I try to catch up or slow down my pace whenever I see him in the hallway and try to match his step, and also, I’ve been thinking of the days when we were going out and we’d do lovey-dovey things, and I imagine what it would be like to kiss him (I never kissed him) or hug him again (I haven’t hugged him since we broke up).

Anybody want to help sort out this confusion?
