I was terminated from my job today…

. I’m depressed as hell, and I live in a city where good jobs are EXTREMELY hard to find… Dammit, what the hell do I do? It took me a year to find this job and now I’m being let go b/c I’m just not good enough! I don’t even know where to look next b/c I really liked the field that I was in, I just wasn’t good enough, quickly enough (was in 8th week of training for assistant manager at Wendy’s)… Any suggestions?

No I haven’t… I was thinking about applying there, I need to find something REALLY SOON cuz I have bills to pay and only one more check coming from job in 2 more weeks (will be an extremely small check, too)

What, you couldn’t slice tomatoes quickly enough? Don’t worry about not “making it” for a sweatshop-like job like that! Go to McDonald’s! Or Wal-Mart! Check out state and city civil service jobs–federal jobs, too!

how long do i have to have worked for a company to file unemployment? I was only there 9 weeks

Don’t know. Wendy’s will probably fight it, as they would have to kick into it. Only 38 percent of the unemployed qualify for ANY unemployment assistance.
