Almeria is in Andalucia. It is a preety hot place for the summer, but dont be daunted by that. The good thing is that Andalucia is a relatively cheap place comparing to Madrid and certainly very cheap comparing to Barcelona. You should definitely visit Seville, one of the most beautiful places there.Generally, spanish people are very polite. However, especially in the south , where you will be going ,not many of them speak english.Try to learn spansish; whatever you learn will be a plus.

Hi so you are moving to Spain Almeria in August, for how long, why Almeria?
Almería is a very nice place by the mediterranean with lots of activity going on, Madrid is the capital and most people from madrid escape to Almería being the nearest beach wish you all the best

Good for you! Then you’re set. I only know random other tidbits. A friend of mine lived in Spain for a semester and I remember her telling me how they don’t refrigerate anything, including milk. Also they tend to have many many flat mates.
