MORE TRUE ANIMAL ADVENTURES WITH 2GREENEYES
Some of you may had read my “When dead animals attack” post. True mishaps, with a following sequel that was outrageous. I thought I had a problem! This poor fishermen has quite a problem! I am wondering if we have any suggestions for him.
He went to check his nets and to his horror he had a 17 foot great white shark caught in it. He freed it and it has been following him for 2 years. He named it Cindy, and she loves him to scratch her neck and belly. I so hope these pics come out for you guys. It is amazing, she is giant and has quite a smile she shows while she is being scratched. Her head out of the water, he said her eyes roll and she grunts and her fins hit the water happily. It shows her following beside his canoe. It looks ridiculously small compared to the size of Cindy. His problem? She scares all the fish away!

Wow… amazing story. I think it’s this site that is not supporting images in the posts anymore. Can you post a link to the pics at photobucket??
You can also upload pics at flickr.com or webshots.com, and they give you a link for posting.
Thanks Cattail,
I used photobucket. I’ll give the others a go. I want to show old west photo’s. Im on a roll.
I use http://imageshack.us myself.
Wow! What a story! A shark of all things! Real awesome! I wouldn’t have imagined that possible. This is great. I love animals!
I rescued a fly from drowning once. Ok tell me I’m crazy but I watched it as it was licking its tiny legs and its two wings for 30 to 45 minutes. And when it finally flew off, it made me feel happy. Ok I know I sound a little crazy but it was really nice to see and it made me smile. :)

Obviously she is a thinking creature. What is she thinking. Does she know he saved her? The text is hard to read, you can contoll roll ya know, but it did say “it was certain death for her the way she was caught in the net”.
Why would she hang with him? Smell the fish from boat? Affection and curiousity for her?
Thanks so much Shi, I will. Really appreciate you.

Well here goes, I hope you will be able to see these.
Well bummer. Does anyone know a progam you can buy and not deal with photo bucket? Its really cramping my style. I have a lot of stuff I would like to post and Im sick of the tech problem.

Wow, very sweet. Is it really a true story? Animals are so unpredictable! That is the cutest shark I have ever seen! :)
Yes Maximina,
Is that the cutest crush ever? No pun intended. What do you think she is thinking? She does think. She does choose to be with him. I hope he protects her from other fishermen. She hasn’t attacked in two years. What would she do if he got in the water?
She is thinking that humans are not so bad after all! She is also thinking that man is the sweetest creature she has ever met and it maybe the first time anything has showed her love! I don’t think she would hurt him, but I really hope he does not try getting in the water with her! :)

I agree.
That’s why I said I hope he protects her. Not all humans would be so kind to her attentions. I hope he knows, and he must, that she is in danger by other humans. Oh she is the sweetest. I love her.
Cute and Cool. I wish I could also have a friend like this Fish. I luv animals :)
That is weird, cool and scary. Shark repellent? I really have no clue. You can’t get rid of the shark without hurting it,
I think. Or at least not without hurting its feelings…

That’s a really weird story, never heard of a shark acting like that. I sure hope the guy doesn’t run into Cindy when she’s really hungry, lol

It doesn’t seem like many are seeing this. Can you invite Katie? Most of my friends are offline. I think its amazing.
kewl pix’s :)
Very Very Cool I couldn’t believe it.. I personally don’t like to see animals hurt or trapped but to have a shark follow me around I don’t think I’d be brave enough to pet it but I’d talk and wave to it.

Thanks sweetie. I love animals and sharks are so misunderstood. I don’t wish to swim with them, but they have a right to be here. One of the few species that has stayed the same through time.
There is an awesome book I’ve read, “When elephants weep”. All true stories of animals. Alex the parrot, the worlds best talker, animals courage, loyalty and love for friends of theirs. Amazing true stories. Animals are so noble in life and facing death.

I love rats so much and they are so misunderstood. They are extremely intelligent, clean, social, sweet and gentle creatures. Did I mention adorable? Everyone who has met mine, had to get one for themselves.
I actually have had one. I named him Fonzy, and he lived in a birdcage. He was very smart. I would leave the door open and he would play. He even sat and watched tv with me while I pet him. A repairman came to fix the tv. He went to look at my bird and jumped back when he saw it was a rat! He was fun and clean and I loved him.
AWW that makes me so happy! Just so you know, if you ever get one again, get two because they live longer with a friend. They are so social and need someone while you are away.
I always knew sharks weren’t all that bad!

wwwwwwwwwtfffffffffffffff DONT INVITE ME TO SHARK THINGYS!!!! i have a phobia of sharks :(
and the photo in the kayak scared the pants off me coz thats my job, to kayak n stuf:(
*sobs*
speakin of sharks actually, i used to work at an outdoors centre in australia on the east coast.
we took kids swimmin, kayaking, sailing snorkelling etc etc at this freakin amazing beach down the road. lot of people used to surf there too, get towed out to this island and surf it back in. round november i was chatting to one of the guys i worked with, asked him if he was goin surfing that day.
he was like, “oh not now, its that time of year so gotta wait a couple months”
im like…”that time of year?”
“yea, the white pointers (great whites) are breeding”
im like…..O.o ( —-wtf face)
turns out the island where they all surf is a great white breeding ground. thats right. breeding ground. for great whites. not very bloody far from where id been swimming and taking kids in the water.
now, australia gets ****** hot in summer. and i had dreds down to my butt that year, so i was packin some heat.
but there was no goddamn way i was goin back in the water after hearin that.
i kinda wish i never knew:(
Omg Ranger, haahhaa ahah Im sorry hahah ahahhahha…….Lucky I wasn’t there or we might be getting some action from those white pointers… hahahha hahah. I am busting up picturing that. Cause as you know animals have a thing for me. Im irresistible!
lulz, well idk about you, but i reckon i could do just fine without a friend like cindy. i cant get that image of the freakin shark behind the kayaaaaaaaaaaaak *shudddddddddddddddddddders*
im thinkin about goin to vet school. they say you should love all animals. but…well…i just cant love cindy
I wonder what she would do Ranger if he got in the water. Do you think she would just swim? Do you think she would go shark ballistic. I wonder what she would do. I guess we can count you out volunteering!
My sister spent an hour on a buoy, she and a girlfreind were swimming and a guy told them to get out of the water. Her friend swam ashore and my sister climbed a buoy. She said two circled for 45 mins cause they knew she was there. She was terrified. These were blues. But she said her friend made it and they knew she was still there! They got a boat to her and had to pry her fingers off the buoy. She swears they would of killed her.
christ.thats right about when id just have a heart attack and die :S
Funny you said that. She said she thought she was going to have a heart attack or faint and be screwed anyways. This was on Catalina Island off Long Beach Calif. Isn’t it where they had the world record white a few years ago?
I imagine their is monsters in the Great Barrier Reef. Yikes.
naw, its not too bad there, unless you see a movie called open water, that’ll put the craps up ya. its based on a true story about a couple who were left behind on a scuba tour on the reef couple years ago, and all they found of them was chewed up tanks :S.
is scary for a sharkaphobic lol
I did see that. Oh can you imagine!! I had a dream there were two under the bed. I called a repairman! He didn’t believe here in Utah I would have sharks under my bed. I told him to be careful and he was being cocky. Oh one jumped up and grabbed him and the water was thrashing and turning red. It was horrible.
After living in FL for so many years, it really doesn’t suprise me that Cindy is so smitten. I myself had a pet aligator several years ago….his name was Snappy. I found him in a wildlife refuge on day…someone had illegally set a trap and Snappy had his tail caught in it howling like a dog. He was bleeding so I had to do a make shift turnaquet with a shirt and managed to secure his snout and rushed him to an animal hospital.
After that, I was able to bring him to the complex I was living at and put him in the canal. I’d go feed him everday….carp, shrimp, crab. Soon, some of my neighbors saw how happy Snappy was to see and interact so, he became the complex’s mascot. People would look in amazement when I’d have Snappy on a leash walking him along the canal. He died of natural causes about 3 yrs later. Not sure how old he was but he was about 6 ft in length.
Hotdog,
How wonderful of you. I wish more people would do acts of kindness for animals. I love to hear stories like that. God bless you as a good human being.
wow that cannot be real lol
I would never go out in to the ocean in a little canoe knowing that great big beastie would follow me ^_^
dood, freakin eh to that
uhh, that means yes, i agree ditzy. in nz speak

what is nz speak?
What I did was not spectacular…anyone could do the same thing. Sometimes we forget that our animal counterparts have emergency needs just like we do. PS–I’d also like to know what “nz speak” is.
They are wild and unpredictable and I still say…hope he doesn’t pet Cindy when she’s hungry.

Hey everyone, I was talking to my sisters (one, its her birthday) and my oldest sister who lived on Catalina island and had that bad experience, I wrote above, she told me to tell you guys another story.
Her boyfriend, born on the island played a few tricks on tourist and local women cause S***, boys will be boys. These islander boys pulled pranks you would not believe. Well I’ve been there and happen to still have a 4th grade friend there.
I probably shouldn’t say who, but a billionaire has a big mansion there. Its something we all see everyday and of course they are bucks up. Well the granddaughter was in town and I guess all the local guys were aware of her floating in her private lagoon, they know all the back ways and were gooning on her, and she was pretty hot. My sisters boyfriend decided he wanted to meet her. The only problem was, well she is an heiress and how would he get into her circle. Just an island guy and yes he did have a trade and still does but he, ya know, worked with his hands. How was he going to impress her?
The boys go fishing and device a plan. They caught a shark, yes not nice here, but they cut the jaws out and put him in the lagoon. Sure enough she comes out on schedule and gets on her raft. She’s got her book and settled and after about 10 minutes they hear her scream, and scream. He comes jumping down this wall and runs and dives into the water and start wrestling this shark! “I’ll save you, dont worry miss”. Thrashing around in the water and acting like Harrison Ford.
Oh he ended up a hero, she was so grateful. Granpa invites him to dinner. He was just the bravest young man. Can you believe that? Not nice for the shark. But it is a true story.
Gosh, you are making me laugh and cry too. Hmm, I’d say it’s only funny until someone loses an eye , and yeah, In LA surfing, you see them and just hope they are as sweet as those i’ve met here. :) Hehe, but they are eating machines :)
I am certain she responed to the compassion she was given. :) All the best

NIKKO:
You are right!! Animals whether wild or tame DO respond to compaasion. This was the point I was trying to make but you did it beautifly
That is bizzar! I have a hard time believing that is what is going on even with the pictures. I have seen a great white wink at me when I was on a 38 foot sailboat off the Channel Islands, it actually came over to the boat raised it’s head out of the water and looked us, me and my son in the eye for 3 or 4 seconds and then turned away and swam on. I know it does not compare to this but we explained the winking as an eye shield (idk the actual name) openning and closing. But it really didn’t seem like that. My son and I thought it had expression and seemed to be checking us out. It gave us both the creeps, we thought it was sizing us up for dinner. Now I think maybe it was saying “Hello”. LOL!!!!
I know Great Whites come out of the water like killer whales. Pluck things off the shore. I also know that eye shield slides shut BEFORE an attack to protect their eyes! Yikes soul, yeah he was sizing you and the little biscuit you were with up. Sounds like a close one…
I had a friend, she was at the front of a sailboat, a hammerhead shark came right up to her. She freaked and stays in the middle now.
ugh, every time i get a notice for this i click it and near crap my pants when the photo of cindy flashes on my screen :(
Hey Ranger,
Checking in on Cindy’s fan club. I was telling Soul about it.
mm, its a freakin rad story, i just forget that it has that pic of the freakin huge *** shark jaws every time i click on it.
i think i pooped a little this time :(
It makes me question how smart they really are? I assumed maybe like a dog. Well, I guess a wolf or a dog would form this type of attachment wouldn’t it? Does it eat the bait he throws in the water or just the fish that come to eat it? Is it some sort of symbiotic relationship?
IDK
Ranger and I wondered if she would hurt him if he got in the water. She remembered him and makes a choice to swim to him when he goes there. Very strange.
ZOMGGGGGGGG he could try riding her! and be the freakin coolest dood on earth.
like this guy.
id say on the crazy scale of 1 to 27 hes about a 9983873723626723893409347823672
They all come here to ski and they are a wild lot!! They get wasted in the pubs and gosh you can’t understand them.
I have a friend Rosco, an Aussie, and he got a jar of vegemite?, I guess its like our peanut butter and I swear every NZlander and Aussie swarmed him.
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew vegemite! its gross, blech. but yea lol, its a staple of our diet over here haha.
**** no is that guy a kiwi, were not that mental lol
I think it’s just a nother sad case of fatal attraction:(
Fizz wrote:
lol, I agree the guy tops the crazy scales and crushes it!!
hahahaha LOL!
I think she is more than in danger I think she is fatal attraction:0
My son believes that these French guys are creating a story around pictures and video. That they know how to handle (or not handle:) sharks. They keep them at arms length, push on the end of their nose and remain in control as long as they don’t slip they keep their fingers and arms and legs and…..
As far as why she follows him maybe it was his smell:) She just can’t get it out of her mind:) I don’t know if it’s attraction or dinner:)
I have considered that too. Is it a real shark? It’s possible that this is staged. I really don’t know. Could you go check Soul or Ranger? I’d sure appreciate it!

From what I saw it looks like a real shark(s). As far as the story…idk? That guy surfing, he has some big cahoonies:):):):), is he an adrenaline junky or what?
Yeah,
but it bothered me to see the shark just left to swim with a baited hook and reel. He didn’t respect the animals life. Crazy or brave? IDK

I agree that was wrong. People can be so self consumed, don’t think about cosequences to other living things. But on another note with those razor like teeth I wonder how long the rope, fishing line…lasted.
Aren’t adrenaline junkies both crazy and brave, maybe even stupid at times:)?

There is some crazy replies on this post 2greeneyes:)! What did you think about those guys hooking a great white and going for a ride, that is insane:)!
