Start small, get some friends to join you with the dancing and see if they also like the idea in presenting something fun.

If you get enough support, it would be easy for you to head the planned activity.

I get you. If you are really really serious, you could try running an event yourself. I did this once, and it was a lot of undertaking, but
1) Teachers were really impressed and were really helpful towards me.
2) I met so so many more people and made so many friends.
3) People who I didn’t even know began to recognise me for what I had done.
And there are so many more reasons.

If you choose a charity which is close to your heart, something which you want to fundraise for, you can approach the school and ask them if they will let you use the gym or some other large room to hold an even to fundraise. You could have a talent contest, or just a concert, or a song competition for budding writers, or even a themed quiz night, or go as crazy and unique as you want. You can set up a committe to organise it which you can head, and you can enlist help from the art compartment to draw up posters, and get computer people to draw up some cool ones using power point.

I know this is possibly way bigger than anything you were thinking of, but it means that people respect you for caring so much about something and for putting in so much effort, and you can get to know people (e.g. guys you like) by enlisting some of their talents to help. They’d only be too flattered to be asked to do something because they are talented at it. Think big and who knows where you could end up! And you get to help a charity you care about in the process!!
