Earthquake in China…

Most of you guys should know, there was an earthquake in China May 12. I knew about that, and I was just thinking, wow, that’s sad, until I came to this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FvvM9V...

This video made me beyond sad

There is no violence so don’t be afraid to click it, but it made me cry so hard.
There was a 26 year old man called Chen Jian, and he was stuck under rubble for 73 hours with no food, and little water, until rescuers found him. The first thing he wanted to do was call his pregnant wife and make sure she was all right. The reporter borrowing him the phone didn’t think of him as anything special at the time, and gave him just little time for him to talk, with bad connection.

6 hours later, the rescuers managed to take off the heaps of rubble off him. Then, he passed out. Everyone, rescuers and reporters were calling his name, chanting, doing every safety procedure to do to him, but he was gone.

Now, the reporter who had given him the phone wishes she had given him more time to talk to his wife. She regrets it, although it wasn’t her fault. There are tough, chin-up men like this, who manage to survive nights and days alone in the cold and dark, and still survive to say ‘I love you’ To his wife.

If I was the soon-born child of his wife, I would be proud to remember him as someone who loved us.

And now I think about this; there are millions of people like him, people who had died, or had lost families, loved ones, and friends.
I really wish I could help these people, and am saving up money to donate. Well, Rest in Peace Chen Jian.

Yes it was sad, I feel terrible especially for families who lost their only child. I just came from China in February and my heart goes to all who are in despair.

Just the typied story made my eyes well up with tears. I’ve heard about it, and I’m not sure what I can do but pray things turn up right for those poor people. No one deserves that.
