Computer problem please help.

I have a registration box opened on my desktop in light grey. It will not let me close it. Its like its frozen.

Hit Ctrl+Left Shift+Escape at the same time. Select the task that has poped the reg form. Click on Kill Task. Confirm

go to start, run, and type in msconfig, then go to start up programs and look for suspicious programs….
uncheck what you think might be bad, and you can google watever looks weird and also add the word bleepingcomputer when you search on google. for example ashdisp.exe is for avast which is a great free anti virus program, so if you type into google: ashdisp.exe bleepingcomputer, you should get a great link that will tell you if the program is good or bad.

kloklo & firestorm61 are both right. Going into msconfig will for sure stop it from loading when you boot up. Also, afterthat just goto contol panel and either fix/uninstall the program and try reinstalling it then if u want.

Thank you for your help, HOWEVER, this is a MAC, my mothers and I cannot even find the start / run button?

go to google and type in the problem you have with your mac. you should see some mac forums that will be able to help you out.

I am great with IBM-compatibles but when it comes to Mac’s, unless it is running bootcamp and windows, I am useless. =/ Try this forum out - it was recommended to me by a Mac guru: http://macosx.com/
