I was wondering if any of you have any experience with IBM laptops.

I have a 770z, the type is 9549. I am having a problem with the sound, the device driver says it is conflicting with the motherboard resources, I went to d a motherboard initialize and it crashed I got blue screen that ended with the first string of numbers and letters with 7b. Well that’s all I need to know.

Honestly, best bet is to back up your information and run the recovery/restore cd(s) or DVD, or the recovery/restore partition off the hard drive. There are alot of different things that play into problems like that and if your getting a blue screen of death from doing what you did, it is probably best to start from a clean slate. If the problem persists after that then you have to have some kind of hardware issue and I would suggest taking it to a local computer repair shop and stimulating the economy a little bit.

Well I did not put any money into this laptop so I cant afford to have something repaired that I did not pay for, you know what I mean. I found no drivers for this laptop on the IBM website, thatks foe the suggestion though.

if you have the installation disks it is best to format and clean
install. If you know how to do this.
be sure to backup all your files because FORMAT wipes everything.
