HIGH DEF VIDEO IMPORT EXPORT SETTINGS?

! PLEASE HELP!
We have a Sony HDR FX1 shooting in 1080i but we’re new to high def and cant get the same quality when we export from adobe premiere, adobe after effects, and even imovie! Anyone who knows the correct settings please help!
