Video trouble.

I got some videos and i would like to watch on my computer. But when I try and open them, it says I cant view them because they are not movie files. I am also trying to move them to iMovie HD so I can put the videos to music. But when I try to do that, it says that it “can’t be imported; QuickTime couldn’t parse it: -2048″

Please help.

You might want to install Perian — http://perian.org/ — which adds support for many video formats.

I am now using VLC. I can play the videos, but I cant play them in iMovie. Now when I drag the videos, it says that it still says it could not parse it, only instead of being -2048 at the end, it now says -2010. Idk if it makes any difference, but atleast Im making progress.
