ok…

.so i’m asking again and hoping for an answer this time…please, if any one has any clue let me know…..i recently started running/exercising again and my shins hurt really bad. Its not shin splints and its not regular muscle over exertion. I have changed my shoes recently, but not enough time has passed to notice a difference. Does anyone have any similar issues. It feels like my shin bone is split completely in half and every time my foot comes down on the pavement the two halves hit together. Really quite painfull…

If the pain is that bad you should probably see a doctor so they can xray it.

if you have high arches…or other foot oddities you should consider taking out the shoes inserts and buying NICE ones. like dr scholls.

Before you run stand on one leg, lift the other as high as you can to the side then to the rear then repeat. Gain ballance. I know it’s to simple, but it works.

You should go see a doctor if the pain is that bad. I used to be a long distance runner and I had shin splints so i’d heat it for a half hour then ice for 20 minutes but that didn’t work so i (no joke) slept with plastic wrap around my legs and all the pain was completely gone. I think the advise about new shoes, running on grass or track material or running on one of those machines at a gym where you don’t pound your feet is good, but at this point if you can’t even run, best to check with a doctor.
