I need help with something very important to me, and if your familiar with my posts, I promise, I dont want to debate. I need to know the answer to this. latly in my spiritual life Ive gone many roads but now Iam really wondering, should I be a chrstian and follow Jesus. I kinda want to but i obvioulsy will never turn straight, so i fill like why be christian, if I’ll always be living in sin. So I really feel confused about who God is and what Iam supposed to do with my self. So chritian who can help me with this, that would be really cool!

Bah, just be atheist, life’s a party when you don’t have to feel guilty about things that some old men two thousand years ago didn’t like.

haha. have fun :)
hey!
im a Christian, but i have nothing against gay people, although i know some Christians do. the church i go is very open to other peoples opinions, the teenagers go out and we discuss things like this for part of the service. as a group most of us have nothing against gay people we have gone through the bible and decided that there isnt anything that actually says ‘thou shalt not be gay’ it just depends on how you interpret these things! and the bible was written by people of that time, not god so yeah. i love my church!!!
x♥x
I think you are saying you are either gay or living in sin with a man. God loves all of us…even gays or people living in sin. He forbids it, bt he also forbids lust, hate, murder, etc. No sin is worse than the next; and Jesus died for your sin. seek and you will find

you know what! never mind. i dont think anyone is going to help me. forget it! no one understands. so forget it. ignore this post.

That sounds very sweet and I’m going to try to help, but please bear with me, as I’m not sure that I’ll be able to find the right words.
Coming to Christ is more then just making a decision with your mind, it is something that as I’m sure you are becoming aware of that it is a decision made with the heart.
Psalms 34:18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
I’m going to leave this for a minute and really put thought into my words before I can continue. I have a point circling around in my head, but the words aren’t coming easy. Please don’t take offense to these scriptures, they are what I want to come back to shortly.

HI Honey…. (((hugs))) God loves you… Period.
He can and will work thru everything that is conflicting with his word, his will and his way..
in time.
1. We do not try to clean ourselves up.. in order to come to God.
2. That is called religion.
3. rules and regulations..
4. God is greater than the rules.
5. he says that the “letter”… the law… Killeth…
6. But, the spirit gives life.
7. Run to him, not from him.
8. Our walk is by faith.
9. It starts with faith.. and ends with faith.
10. Salvation is a gift…..
11. We can’t earn it, deserve it, or keep it.
12. It comes from God.. to us.
13. We are the recepients of his love.
14. He fixes.. the areas of our brokeness… in his time, and in his way.
15. The word was given to show us that we need God.
16. That we are not complete, without him.
17. That his ways are higher than our ways.
18. That we cannot please him on our own.
19. That freedom comes from him.
20. Deliverance comes from him.
21. He is the author and finisher of our faith.
22. The word, is a teacher, that brings us to Christ.
23. He has bought our ticket. Paid in full.. with his own blood.
24. He says, that whosoever, shall call upon the name of the Lord…..
not might.. but, shall… be saved.
25. We all have things that we are working on.
26. Not one of us is completely without sin….
27. The word says that if we say we are… we are liars.
28. I am not what I used to be, but, neither am I what I will be.
29. Same goes for all of us.
30. Call out to God, he will hear, and he will answer.
31. Seek him thru his spirit, and his word.
32. Learn how to hear his voice.
33. Learn how to be led by his spirit.
34. Leave everything else up to him.
35. Find a fellowship that preaches the truth, in love.
36. He knows such a place.
37. He will direct you, if you seek him.
38. Find out exactly what his word says.. in it, there is great freedom.
39. I love you, and God loves you more.
40. I’m glad you found this site !!!
God be with you. I will be praying for you.
(((hugs)))
The way I see it.. I don’t recall ever hearing that God or Jesus expect you to be sin free?
Isn’t it that they expect you to recognise your sin and deal with it?
Being a sinner is kind of a pre-requisite to being a Christian. Maybe one of our Christian friends can explain that better than me!
I kind of know what I mean! I think!
hi im a cristian i think that god made you that way so you are not living in sin and that you should become a cristian god loves every one and im sure he wouldent mind that and the most important thing is not to change for any one because if you do then you are sining your self

Now, that I’ve had time to reflect and pray, I’m going to try complete my thought. What said Silverwings said, about cleaning ourselves up to come to God and pointing out that is something that we don’t need to do because that is about religion, not about faith and that is what I wanted to say and why I left the scripture, 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. Because when we allow God to come into our lives, we become clean and free from sin, it is then that he will guide us in living our lives. I added the scripture 1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. Because your confusion is keeping you from turning to God, confusion is a device that the powers of darkness use to decieve people and keep them from the Lord. I will pray for you and I hope that you have been helped in some way.

Sry it took a while bud,Even the utmost religious person is never whole, not in this life time.I applaude you for questioning, your very inquisitive. When I first started reading the Bible I questioned everything I had a doubt for.I had a dictionary going over all the words I didnt understand .So Kudos to you.Whether a person is saved or not, they will always be a sinner, its sort of like a requirement for being human. That doesn’t mean you will feel like a sinner all the time,it just means that we are not God Like-yet,we are on our way,Taht is if we try not to sin. What your supposed to do with yourself?Do you mean your purpose,or your life or ?
Also once someone is saved all your past sins are wiped clean off the books as if it were never written in the first place. And what Rryo said, a sin is a sin,no one worse than the other,Im in agreement with all ryo said ,if your interested..What Silverwings said ‘1. We do not try to clean ourselves up.. in order to come to God.’Some ,like me,think ‘first i will do this or that’He wants you just as you are cuz he already accepts as you are.In his eyes you are his child. He loves all his children.and if you didn’t already know this, being accepted is a pre-requsite to being loved.
You say your confused as to who he is? All you need to do is get to know him well.I read a book ‘Who is Jesus’it told me what Jesus’s heart was (is) like. And God has the same heart. All Goodness and Love.If/when you want one of us can give you the salvation prayer or you can find it on a site which you can say at home, anywher you want.i was saved in my livingroom-alone.I believe there are certain things that helps in the recieving like saying it outloud, being humble and honest and willing (a open heart, mind and ears),then recieve his love, allow yourself to feel it enter, and always thank him…….Im sorry for rambling on.didn’t mean to :/
The Struggle with Sin:
The great apostle Paul, wrote in Romans 7:15-25 concerning this.
For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice:but, what I hate, that I do. If , then, I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that it is good. But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. For I know that In me (that is, in my flesh)nothing good dwells: for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good, I do not find. For the good that I will to do, I do not do: but the evil I will not do do, that I practice. Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. But, I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.O wretched man that I am…. Who will deliver me from this body of death? I thank God - thru our Lord Jesus Christ!
If a great and wonderful man, like Apostle Paul, who wrote a large portion of the New Test. had to struggle with sin.. then, we can be assured, that we will too.
But, the good news is that Jesus has come to set us free.
So..keep pursueing him.. with all your might.
He has the power that you need to overcome and live victoriously.
Stand in faith until the victory comes.
In fact, he proclaimed us victorious.. from the first.
Our victory is in him.
Fasting is a great help in overcoming the flesh.
