anyone ever try using those check cashing places?

My husband and I did at christmas. we have not been able to get away from it. We have sold so much trying to stay above broad. big screen tv. all my gold jewerly, except my wedding rings and one other ring, my silver certicates, coins, etc etc.
Do not get involved. My house is now up for sale. I am afraid I am going to end up in jail for bounced checks and stuff.
People who prayer…please prayer for my husband and I. Please beg God for mercy for us. I am at the end of my rope

I was using them to cash my checks (not take out loans) but I have since found a better way. Maybe it’ll work for you. There are these prepaid cards called greendot. You can get your checks direct deposited into the card and you never have to deal with another check cashing place. I went through http://www.accountnow.com

They’re finally working on a bill in Ohio to regulate those god awful places. THANK GOD! So many people have suffered like you have because of those hell holes. I don’t know how these people who run and work those places sleep at night. I really don’t. SHAME ON THEM!

I also used Account Now but there fees killed me so now I am using a different prepaid card that has lower fees http://www.VisionPrepaid.com after shopping around it seems like the best one available. If you find a better one let me know… Since I got my prepaid card I have not had to cash my check or wait in lines anymore it is great…

Be careful with those places, you’re just going to get ripped off. I noticed other people will recommending prepaid credit cards. I did a quick Google search, and a few sites such as http://www.findsecuredcards.com/prepa…, as well as others. Good luck!
