Ok i’m 15 and now i have the chicken pox for the first time which sucks.

So far its been 1 week at home and i have one more to go said by the doctor but my parents think i should go back to school earlier because the bumps on my face kinda cleared up so i’ll look like the other acne kids at school and that i’m missing too much homework. What should i do since i can’t really oppose them having them think i want to skip school.

your bumps will fade but I understand you may feel self-conscious and reluctant to go to school. It is important to try and go though.. your parents are right. Missing schoolwork is only going to make problems for you and picking up work from school is ok for a while, but it doesn’t get you the right input you need.

Why not go back as soon as your doctor says its ok, and arm yourself with some reassuring comments for your friends like “it;s the weirdest thing. But it’s all clearing up just like yours did when you were five

chickenpox is only contagious until new blisters have stopped forming. After that, it’s fine. It doesn’t cause chilblains. Chilblains are caused by poor circulation.

But like I say, doctor is the one to decide if you can go back to school.
