Hubby and I had to file bankruptcy 2 years ago a chapter

13, since then the economy has gone way down, first we lost over $20,000 per year because of the economy, and now due to health reasons, I have had to quit my job, we have children and we are completely totally out of money, our bank account at this time is over $500.00 in the negative, we are losing our car, maybe our place to live which at this point isn’t even ours we are having to live with relatives and they can’t afford this either, we can’t buy groceries, we are eating peanut butter, hot dogs and ramen noodles. We are in dire need of some kind of help, we are not greedy we just want to be stable and know we have somewhere for our kids to call home and meals to eat and the necessities, is there anyone that can help? Or anyone that will? The state says we make too much money, well that is not true or i would not be doing this, I am not nor is my hubby lazy people, we both work and try very hard to pay for everything on our own, if we were in the position to help someone in our situation, it would be done without question, Are there any other people like us. Can anyone help?

I am sure there are many charitable organizations in your community which could possibly help with your food an clothing concerns. Financially speaking, you filed a chapter 13, in which there is a “Hardship Discharge” for in cases when you cannot complete your plan: You quit you job because of illness look at (3).

After confirmation of a plan, circumstances may arise that prevent the debtor from completing the plan. In such situations, the debtor may ask the court to grant a “hardship discharge.” 11 U.S.C. § 1328(b). Generally, such a discharge is available only if: (1) the debtor’s failure to complete plan payments is due to circumstances beyond the debtor’s control and through no fault of the debtor; (2) creditors have received at least as much as they would have received in a chapter 7 liquidation case; and (3) modification of the plan is not possible. Injury or illness that precludes employment sufficient to fund even a modified plan may serve as the basis for a hardship discharge. The hardship discharge is more limited than the discharge described above and does not apply to any debts that are nondischargeable in a chapter 7 case. 11 U.S.C. § 523.

There are far more people like yourself and your family then you think, and I beleive we have only touched the rim of a very large bowl. I hope your family does not have to endure much hardship. You need not to look at the material world for salvation.
