Helllooo.

I’m going to be a freshman next year at Indiana University. I just received my housing assignment online and I was quite shocked to find out that I am in a single room. My older sister and my dad said that I “lucked out” but I am kind of confused. Is it really that great to not have a roommate? I don’t get it.

Well i never experianced that nor will i ever, but I too have heard horror stories from my boss about roommates being complete jerks. Pulling pranks, listening to music when your triyng to sleep, and having parties when your trying to study…. and of course a lot worst… Yeah, consdier yourself lucky.

Hey i wouldve loved to have had my own room because eventually you get tired of your roomie and just want your own privacy. So you are lucky

Having a single room can be good because you will have peace and quiet and you can do your own thing. But having roommates is really great because you will have people to socialize with and you will be new people more easily. Just make sure to get out and meet people so you do not get lonely!

i have to say.. that i agree with your dad.. you got very lucky.. now you dont have to worry about noisy roomates, lazy roomates, pig roomates etc.. you will have your own room… you can always invite people to chill out with you.. so you arent going to be alone..
