I have just gotten an older computer that is set up for dial up..

I have cable and a router for my other computers. How do I change the settings in my old computer so I can get it online with my cable?

Calling the ISP is a good idea. We would need lots of info (your OS, whether you have an ethernet card, are you running a wireless network, etc, etc.).

If your pc only has dial up then you cannot use the router it will only hook up to the phone line. You will have to go and buy a nick card and put it into your pc, most come with the drivers for the card. Then all you have to do is connect it with a Ethernet cable. Hope this helps :-)
