I’m off prozac and don’t want to go back because i don’t want to depend on it.

I’ve started feeling sad again and i need coping methods. ideas?

i just graduated, and i’m going to a great college next year…i’e been babysitting a lot and weirdly enough that gets me down

Yeah, taking care of other peoples children can be stressful. I used to teach pre-school. Hated it

i don’t know? i don’t want to need it anymore, i’m afraid that if i go back on it i’ll hae to depend on it for the rest of my life…maybe a bit of a drastic thought but i’m worried nonetheless

I understand, but this is a stressful time with so many changes going on. Maybe this isn’t the right time. Of course I no doctor….

yeah, that’s basically what my mom said and i agree…i’ve been trying 5-HTP…have you heard of that? it hasn’t really done much but i’ve only been using it for a week, i’m hoping to replace prozac with it. i know, it’s just like replacing one drug with another, but, i dunno, i don’t want the stigma of depression that prozac holds.

When you get to school, so many people will be on so many different medicines, you won’t feel much stigma. I hope this new prescription helps you (no I’ve never heard of it). I think if you need it now, it’s nothing to feel bad about anymore than a diabetic should feel bad about insulin. You probably won’t need it forever
