college help: I just got my report card. - Help.com

I just got my report card.

And it had a C, 3 B’s, and 4 A’s. The C was in Honor’s Economics, the three B’s were in honor’s English, Government, and Biology. What I’m trying to ask is how will this effect my possibilities for being accepted to a good college?
PS: This is my Sophomore year in High School.

i have friends that got c’s and b’s all through high school and all of them still got into good colleges just do good on your sat’s and get extra curiculars =)

i got 2 D’s, 6 C’s, 10 B’s, and 10 A’s in my high school career. I ended up with a 3.1 but did really good on the ACT’s and I got into a pretty good college :) Write a killer essay and get involved in extracurriculars.

I would also say that it’s way better to get Bs in advanced courses than to take easy courses and get As. They definitely look at the courses you took, and not just the GPA!

What gimli said is absolutely right! Take AP’s or IB’s (or the equivalent where you are) , if you can.

I wouldn’t stress out too much yet! Just keep up the grades you have a while to worry about being rejected from “good schools”

It depends a lot on where you want to go and how competitive the major is.
