tired of temp agencies.

I have been temping for several agencies since 2004. I have a master degree in Finance, I work very hard in every company they send me, I always go the extra miles to complete a project, I get great feedback and great reference from them when my assignment is terminate, but I’m still temping. why is it so hard to just get hire these days. I enjoy the places I worked, I like them and I know they like me but it just never turn to a permanent position. The money is nice but I miss my sick days and vacation pays when I need to travel. Please help

This is what I did. I worked for a temp agency for 8 months for an insurance company. When I was working for the insurance company I got onto their computers and went onto their own personal Career Portal. I looked for openings that were available. I found one and applied and said that I was currently temping within the company, made some friends in my dept. to give me great references so I had them when I was called for an interview and Bam..I am in the company….try that!!
