Help.com is still alive.
There are nice helpers who have left this site for some personal reasons. Seen too much of these negative posts and it makes me sad to read them.
Some important posts are left unanswered while most flock to posts throwing stones at each other.
Let us remember that there are still people who are in need of help. And that is what we are here for.
Hugs to all.

well said lilies. I agree, wheat ever may be happening around the place there are still people that come to this site that need help and these are the people we should give our time to.

but you can find me in chat:)

Lillies it seems to be working in the reverse - while all the shouty people are in a post trying to outdo each other I’ve seen some really cool posts this week where no-one was trying to outsmart anyone and some real help went down. So I suppose it’s a bit bittersweet - leave them to fight with each other but go to the posts that are genuine - and there has definitely been a lot more attention paid to them by the people who really care. Funny old world. Regards mas
I concur. So many days I really need help and start a post and let it go. Too many trolls. They’re outnumbering the helpers anymore. and too many useless posts, to get lost among.
Thing is Nikki - I’m almost of the opinion that people should be able to do ‘private’ posts - you know invite the people who they know have experience of the problem they want an answer for - but then that excludes everyone you have never met - and quite possibly the answer to your problem lies with someone you have never met
Very true. I think the best answer to these ‘trolls’ is to flag their offensive comments. It would soon get rid of them, right?
What is this happening? What has happened to help.com? Everything is going bad. When it’ll be back? I m seeing many posts like these.
I was badly addicted to this site but this site is going nowhere. Why? Why are there people like these? Why are rude posters still on this site while the Good people are not?
Shie has been banned. mods are on strike. Rude posters are still on this site. Whats this all? I m just hating this. I dont like this all. I just want my Help.com BACK!!
Oh god, everyone should just go outside and quit obsessing over what happened here.
It is a beautiful sediment Lilies and thank you for the reminder. I was fairly busy last night with one of my own posts, as you know, but if you look at my replies… I was still involved in a couple of others, as I will continue to do.
No idea what happened with those who were banned. I was not here and i just read it somewhere.
We cannot stop people from leaving and eventually they will be back. Been here for more than a year now and it is like a home to me. Seen people come and go, it does hurt but what can we do.
I am not obsessed on this site. I just know that we can take care of other people by being nice to them– when we do, it is like taking care of this site and those who need help.
How many people are on this site roughly? And who are those who are so well known?
If these posts weren’t up, i wouldn’t know anything was wrong… x

I agreee that we should just continue helping other people or getting help, but it seems that most of the more active users are only here to make a scene on what happened. And this is irritating me now because I woke up to find a message from a friend saying he’s leaving this site over all this BS that’s got him down.
That is exactly what this post is all about. Some users are leaving this site bec of the not so good things happening here. And that should not be. Not all things are for everybody much to their liking. We can come here, we can take a break and come back soon, i do that at times.
If other people are arguing, it should not be a reason why we should give up.
Of course we feel bad about a friend who ended up with a fight with someone from here, but that should not stop us from helping.
Are you annoyed by this post Sun? I’m sorry if you are.
as for me, i like this site. i thank the people behind this site. we all need help, really. one way or another. sometimes, just by talking (err, writing/ typing) it out really helps.
I think this post is great. I left the site because of the bs but came back because why leave due to someone elses ignorance? i just hope the others who have left , return soon.
No, I’m just annoyed that people kept ranting on and on about this to the point where banning wasn’t the reason that people are leaving. I just feel very bad for the friend that left help.com, and some of the things he said really are things I could relate. Help.com did the exact opposite of what it should do. And on top of that, the mods are on strike because they want respect?
Yes, i have seen a lot like this in the time i have been here, i have not posted a rant about it, now i feel like doing so. And i don’t know about the mods striking either.

and now… Lilies I truly mean no offense, but I’d like to point out, that THIS post is now the most active post on the front page. Is that not a touch ironic?
well cbs bought cnet ..cnet owns help.com…admins havnt been around in a month or more ,the mods are over worked and not paid at all and deal with a bunch of bs so yeah **** out kens last post, mods are on strike.
I’ll just keep on helping those who I can help and ignoring those who need to be ignored, I guess.

I don’t see that as offensive Richard and it does not matter if it’s in the front page or not. :)

I just find it ironic personally.
I agree with lilies. This is a site for people (strangers to help one another) and squabbles or things that detract from that arnt good. People can leave or not if they want and they are entitled to their opinions. But My feeling is that if i cant help i stay silent
i agree. same with mine.
write something to help. if nothing good to share, stay silent
like my grandma always said..if you aint got nothing nice to say then dont say nothing, you catch more flys with honey then you do vinegar
