I encourage doing it fast and painless if they are going to. I just am sick and tired of people saying how miserable there life is, and that they think there is no meaning to it.

I know of a girl who was being abused, last night me and a bunch of others turned her life around and got her to get help, she will not live a better life because she got help on HELP.com

lol… well I do like to help people, and I like to try and make people see reason, But if people say they have done it time and time and time again, and that they are positive that life has no meaning. Then why be soft and gentle telling them that everything will be ok, when the night gets through and nothing helped them.
I tried to convince a friend for 12 hours on a phone not to do it, and after making such progress, i found out that the next day she still tried to do it again.
GO ahead and report this, its something Im getting an opinion about, and aparently no one else here shares my opinion. I am doing nothing wrong from what I can see about breaking the rules here, as unethical as it may be.

I understand now where you are coming from, I am sorry we all jumped down your throat, you were just upset, but please understand these views you are expressing will only hurt the world, even if we don’t have any effect, we are not doing that, we can only help it
I personally am the type of person to keep hope, dont get me wrong, as this post may tell otherwise, its just so darn annoying to hear that some people cant ever figure it out, and some people will live there whole lives wanting to end it.
Ever bben in a situation were u had a problem and u were decisive, about how to solve it? do u just pick a solution and go along with it or you do find ways to see which way will be better, just like this person, they r having a problem and they just dont want to make a quick solution, thats y they r here, and l seriously think its becoz of peole like u, that people end up commiting suicide, have a heart my friend
I don’t believe anyone is, per say, “hopeless.” You can give hope to a lot of people by a simple action in the world– for once there was a person that waited on me in the line at a supermarket when I was having a bad day and they cheered me up by being so cheery, sweet and kind. It’s not just things like that though, it’s the matter of trying and making an effort and amplying one single joule of energy at being helpful towards someone. It takes one thing to make a difference, one domino in a line to knock down the rest– as well as one seed to make a large tree over time. Anything can happen from one action, that by far is convincing enough for me in the world that I CAN help.

I agree with you in a way, however, about 99percent of the people who come out and say they are going to commit suicide never do, they use it as a way to grab attention to allow people to hear their problem. HOWEVER, by saying just off youself all ready is just adding more to the problem and by doing that you should think about how the situation would be in your shoes.
Remember, you dont know anyone until you have stepped in their shoes.

like yes i know there is job shortages and everything but it doesnt mean that you should encourage suicide. maybe you just dont realize how serious a thing it is and how many people it affects.
theyre writing on here cuz theyre reaching out for help. i dont think theyre saying it to just get attention. these people really need help and i think its great that theyre writing on here instead of just doing it.

i especially disagree with that. you seem like your rushing people to kill themselves and you think the world would eba better place if more people killed themselves. my best friend killed himself last year and its made a HUGE impact on my life. so yes your one speck of sand on a mile long beach but one speck of sand makes a big difference. nothings the same anymore since he died for anyone who knew him. even if they were just an aquaintance.
so i think you should think before you talk. this really upsets people like me who have someone close o them hwo commited suicide

To those who reported this post, I think you are misguided. Stupidity is not a valid reason to report a post. Look at the conversation it generated. I disagree with the original post like I think most people do, but the thread it generated was more interesting to read than a bunch of people stroking each other. So I think the people who report this post are the ones who should leave help.com and go to totalitarianism.com where all disenting viewpoints are suppressed and speech is only free if it agrees with you. Sometimes “help” might come from someone who doesn’t look like you or talk like you, or think like you.

I disagree, no one has the corner on pain and sorrow. There are many here who could match you, and even make you pale in comparison. Pain is pain, sorrow is sorrow. We all bleed. We are all human. There are many that have the courage to get up and ask for help, do not mistake that for weakness, when in fact, it is the utmost courage to struggle back onto their feet and ask for help. I applaud their will to survive.
