help with networking windows vista basic to windows xp at home through a router.

when i try to turn on the network discovery i get a error that says “class not registered” so i went online and registered with windowsand restarted my computer and tryed to turn on net discovery and it said it again help now what do i do? what is class not registered? how do i fix it?
