Yes. I used to run Direct X on this box when it had Win 2k.

I tried downloading it from microsoft and it wouldn’t go, how can I get it to run?

Same here. I wanted it on my laptop, now I have to risk my dad getting pissed when I put it on the new computer. Oh well, it will be worth it.

i have the same problem with spore! i’ve been on google and microsoft trying to download everything i need to play the game, i’ve been doing this for 45 min.!

this may help some. i was on Yahoo anwswers and one person said, go to your propeeties from your desktop(right click anywhere on your desktop and ion the options box click “properties”) then go to settings, click on “advanced”, then troubleshoot, and then here is a “hardware acceleration” bar, move that to the highest position and then try the game, good luck!

i also have the problem with spore creature creatore
i tryed the hardware exelerat button thing from yahoo
found that my hardware bar was already to the top so no disce for me
hope others have more luck with it

i have the same problem i tried everythin, but some guys said that you have to uninstall spore and then install the directX before downloading spore again, i tried it but it helped me nothing, but mayby it will help by someone els, good luck……..(sorry for bad english im from NL XD)

I have another solution, well, you must go to (you will have to find out the words in english because I am from Argentina)… you must go to “Inicio” then put “ejecutar” and the you have to put “dxdiag”. The program will be open by then, so you have to put then “pantalla” is the thert block from the left, then you have to habilit the directdraw, direct3d and finally the last who is the las of the three options, the you put acept down there and probe if you can play the game… good luck!
