I found him on help.com. He was sensitive and always wanting to lend a helping hand to those in need. I fell for him right then, for his heart, and his wonderful caring nature. I knew that if I ever had any issue, he could solve it.

in my case.. i had actually given up on relationships.. i figured that all the drama with guys were just too much.. i figured.. being alone is what i really wanted in life.. live by myself.. but in the back of my mind.. i wondered what the heck was wrong with me.. because i have a huge heart, i am very faithful, honest and such.. so i wondered.. was it the way that i looked.. so i went on to a dating site.. posted a picture and thats it.. no information at all.. i just wanted to see if anyone would send me a wink or whatever as i did not pay for the site.. i just wanted to see if it was what i looked like.. after a day or so.. i received many winks and a few emails from the ones who did pay.. but i never answered any of them.. as i did not want a relationship.. just an answer to the question that i was looking for..
a few days later.. i got an IM’ from roger. he also did the dating site .. the free part.. to see what he could get.. as he has too been dealt a bad hand in relationships his whole life..
we started talking and i made it clear that i did not want a relationship.. i was tired of them.. and he too wanted the same thing.. after a while.. we decided to meet in person.. as he lived an hour and a half away…
well.. its been over a year now.. and im glad that things went the way that they did.. we get a long sooooooooooooooooooo well… he treats me like a princess.. and even to this day.. will hold my hand while walking down the street.. the best thing about it is.. he never degrades me.. and he never raises his hand to me.. he is the greatest..

I found mine because he was my friend first.
We were that classic best friend duo, where the guy secretly falls in love with the girl, and tells her after soo many months, and she freaks out and it ruins their friendship.
But then he kept being persistent in his love, and he watched me date and break up with 3 other guys, all the while staying by my side, and holding me while i sobbed on his shoulder over my failed relationships.
And then, like that Daughtry song,
“what I want
And what I need
Has now become the same thing
You’ve been offering.”
And I realized that I loved him back.
I know it seems too perfect, but its true. We’ve been together a little over a year now, and things are great. =)
