CAUTION!

IDIOT SIGHTINGS:

We had to have the garage door repaired. The Sears repairman told us that one of our problems was that we did not have a “large” enough motor on the opener. I thought for a minute, and said that we had the largest one Sears made at that time, a 1/2 horsepower. He shook his head and said, “Lady, you need a 1/4 horsepower.” I responded that 1/2 was larger than 1/4. He said, “NO, it’s not.” Four is larger than two..”

We haven’t used Sears repair since.

IDIOT SIGHTING
My daughter and I went through the McDonald’s take-out window and I gave the clerk a $5 bill. Our total was $4.25, so I also handed her a quarter. She said, “you gave me too much money.” I said, “Yes I know, but this way you can just give me a dollar bill back.” She sighed and went to get the manager who asked me to repeat my request. I did so, and he handed me back the quarter, and said “We’re sorry but they could not do that kind of thing.” The clerk then proceeded to give me back $1 and 75 cents in change.

Do not confuse the clerks at McD’s.

IDIOT SIGHTING:
I live in a semi rural area. We recently had a new neighbor call the local township administrative office to request the removal of the DEER CROSSING sign on our road. The reason: “Too many deer are being hit by cars out here! I don’t think this is a good place for them to be crossing anymore.”
>From Kingman , KS .

IDIOT SIGHTING IN FOOD SERVICE :
My daughter went to a local Taco Bell and ordered a taco. She asked the person behind the counter for “minimal lettuce.” He said he was sorry, but they only had iceberg lettuce.
From Kansas City

IDIOT SIGHTING:
I was at the airport, checking in at the gate when an airport employee asked, “Has anyone put anything in your baggage without your knowledge?” To which I replied, “If it was without my knowledge, how would I know?” He smiled knowingly and nodded,
“That’s why we ask.”

Happened in Birmingham , Ala.

IDIOT SIGHTING:
The stoplight on the corner buzzes when it’s safe to cross the street. I was crossing with an intellectually challenged coworker of mine. She asked if I knew what the buzzer was for. I explained that it signals blind people when the light is red. Appalled, she responded, “What on earth are blind people doing driving?!”

She was a probation officer in Wichita , KS

IDIOT SIGHTING:
At a good-bye luncheon for an old and dear coworker. She was leaving the company due to “downsizing.” Our manager commented cheerfully, “This is fun. We should do this more often.” Not another word was! spoken . We all just looked at each other with that deer-in-the-headlights stare.

This was a lunch at Texas Instruments.

IDIOT SIGHTING:
I work with an individual who plugged her power strip back into itself and for the sake of her life, couldn’t understand why her system would not turn on.

A deputy with the Dallas County Sheriffs office, no less.

IDIOT SIGHTING:
When my husband and I arrived at an automobile dealership to pick up our car, we were told the keys had been locked in it. We went to the service department and found a me chanic working feverishly to unlock the drivers side door. As I watched from the passenger si de, I instinctively tried the door handle and discovered that it was unlocked. “Hey,” I announced to the technician, “its open!” His reply, “I know. I already got that side.”

This was at the Ford dealership in Canton , Mississippi

STAY ALERT! They walk among us. Have you had any sightings we should hear about?

Hahaha idiots are more common than one would think, and they’re not always poorly educated.

I was working the night shift at an electric motors factory, sealing stator coils. A new boss kinda person (had a lot of those) had started a few days earlier. I think he had an engineering degree. So anyway, around 20 minutes into my shift he walks into my department (I was the only person working there, and didn’t get all that many visitors in the night). He asks me if I’m busy at the moment, to which I respond that I’ve just put the first coils in the oven to harden the seal, and that for the next 2 hours I would basically have nothing to do. He nods and then tells me that the machining guys (working on the lathe) have nothing to do right now, and asks if he should send one of them over to help me. I stare at him blankly for a while, then I repeat what I’ve just told him.

Happened in Odense, Denmark. One engineer was spotted at the scene of the incident.

They were amazingly funny. I’ve lost count on the number of idiots I have met like that. I had the conversation about the deer crossing with my Dad, but as a joke. I can’t believe someone actually took it seriously.

I was walking home from the shops one day and a guy came up to me and asked if I smoke. I said very clearly to him “No I don’t”, which he then replied with “Have you got any cigarettes?”. Yes, I carry them around as a lucky charm. (I said that in my head, though lol)

I was living in a town where someone went postal at the local DMV. I had just got out of the shower and had a towel on my head and was wrapped in another. Someone rang my doorbell. Because I was not dressed I did not open the door. I looked out the blinds on the window and was shocked to see a news camara and full blown crew standing on my doorstep with the camera on and pointed at me. I asked who they where and what they wanted? They proceeded to tell me my neighbor had shot and killed several people that afternoon and asked what I thought of him? I was apolled and shocked to think my neighbor, Angel, had lost it after we had an argument the night before about him disposing of antifreeze in the street drain and dumping oil in a pit next to the property line. He was a mechanic and did some extra work out of his home. I had asked him to stop doing this and he told me he didn’t know how he was going to feed his family if he couldn’t continue. I didn’t talk to the news crew who put my toweled head and beady eyes looking through the blinds on the evening news saying neighbor scared to leave home because of volatile “John Doe” after ….. (name changed to protect the innocent). At 7:00 pm my neighbor Angel pulled into his driveway smiled at me out in my yard and apologised for polluting. I stood staring at him and did not reply, I did not realise they had not caught him. I ran into the house and turned on the news after locking my door and freaking out:). It turned out the name of the person who actually did go postal lived at the same address as Angel, only on another street around the corner:)

Hey, I remember one now. Here it is:

A man bought an item for 15,000$. After paying the money, he left the shop. The manager of the shop realized that the item was worth 12,000$. So, he sent a man after him with 3,000$. That man stole 1,000$ from that money and gave 2,000$ to the buyer. So, the buyer got 2,000$ this means that he has bought that item for 13,000$.
Now add the money, he paid 13,000$ for that item. And 1,000$ were with that man who stole the money. So, the total becomes 14,000$. Then where are 1,000$ to make a total of 15,000$?

It can be correct from one side i.e The shop gets 12,000$, the buyer gets 2,000$ and the man gets 1,000$. So, the total is 15,000$.

But in Maths, the answer should be same from any method.

Words are my thing. Math people blow me away. Specially when they just rattle it off in their head. My husband is like that. He’s always asking me how to spell things though. LOL
