Master - a poem I wrote about drugs.

I’m your shadow
I’m your friend
I drag you in
Let the beatings begin
Too late to let go
Too late to apologize
I will run through you
I will destroy what’s pure in you
Smashing your purity and pride
Smashing until death you will ride

Drink up, inhale, now I’ve run through you
Nothing more can save me from you

Lie, steal, I’m in control of you
Obey and your life’s in disarray

Pay your price
Feed your fear
The beatings have begun
You’re addicted now
Nothing more can you say
See me, feed me, feeding you
The more you see, the more you need
It’s too late, I’m your Master

No problem. I hope this poem doesn’t describe your experiences in life, as it doesn’t sound like much fun. :S

Everything I write is how I feel about life or my experiences. And no, life for me hasn’t been a whole lot of fun.

I like it, I like it lots. not so sure about line 10… maybe “smashing until death’s final ride”? its like one syllable too long. But it is very very very good. Although you seem to give up rhyming lol.

Meth? Crack? Heroin? Opium? What did you do that had such a hold over you?

I don’t think it matters what kind of drugs have a hold of you. They are all the same. Drugs.

If someone has a caffeine addiction, I dont think they’re going to jack someones car to get enough money to get a fix.

Meth>Heroin>Coke>caffeine>sugar>weed

If you try to compare a meth addict to someone who smokes weed, your insane.

To say all drugs are the same is really a very silly statement. Is Meth the same as Aspirin? Not quite.
Every substance has a very different effect on people. And each substance varies in effect between people too.

I’m assuming thats in order from worst to…least worst lol, I completely agree (although I haven’t tried heroin or meth).

You name the drug, I have most likely done it. Just can’t remember it all.

ITs a really good piece of poetry :). I like it a lot. THe ryhmings a little awkward in just one or two places but thats overriden by the great description and power. Good work inside, i like it :).
