Good for you. Personally, I’ve been wondering if it were possible to use a dual monitor setup with a television screen. Anyone have an answer for *that*?
Umm… im pretty technologically challenged soo I barely know half of what you two said!!

very interesting. wtf is a dual monitor setup =D?
i set that up yesterday
dual monitor, via laptop vga cable and a virtual pc program.
its not a dual monitor, its a “dual monitor setup”
its where you use two monitors to increase your screen, and work space.
usually, the mouse can go from screen to screen just by going off the edge of one.

A dual monitor. Think. It’s two monitors in one. Think about it!
big businesses and companies use them all the time. i used one while i did a project at a chemical company named vanitico

yea you can
Basically all you need is a svideo cable would be the simplest thing to allow you to use your tv and computer as seperate monitors while using the computere to put things on either screen.
the vga cable gives slightly better quality, and is actually common on many new hdtvs. it would run about 20 bucks. but the svideo would work just about as well.
Yea vga works better, just make sure your tv has the hook up in the back along with your computer or laptop. Most laptops should have them.
Another note if you do use svideo, you also need a thing that plugs into your headphone jack of your computer and has a audio ends to plug into your red and white slots of your tv. If you use vga you dont need it.

Ah, thank you. I was aware that one needed the S-Video or VGA cable to run a TV as a monitor, but I didn’t know that it was necessary for a dual setup as well. Thank you. :D
actually vga stands for something like video graphics adapter… you will still need a line for sound the same way.
you could even use an hdmi cable if your computer and pc had the proper ports, and that would not need a sound cable.
hey, thisfire? can i use a GIF as my profile image and still have it animated?
dammit! how do i do an animated one then? i want a bit of a rickroll as mine.
see my post > http://help.com/post/171374-animation…
i will reveal it tommorrow, but it takes a little bit of work.
nope. whatever you want… the hard part is finding someone to host it long enough, the more simple, the longer you are likely to find a host.
i had this one set: http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj…
but it ate up all my alloted photobucket banwidth. smaller is better, and flashy ones are really small.
