Would you have jumped?

For one of my English classes this year I had to study the book Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close (which is an excellent book, I highly recommend it). It got me really curious about the 9/11 attacks, and I was wondering, if you were there, in one of the towers would you have stayed (probably aware that you were going to die from the smoke, fire or towers collapsing) or would you have jumped out of one of the windows?

But your body/organs would have been ruined anyway wouldn’t they?
I specifically mean if you were in one of those towers…

no, i wouldnt.

see,
theres more of a chance for survival if you just try to get out,
theres a slight chance that i could have survived.
not the greatest chance,
but then again making my body explode by plunging from 70 stories doesn’t sound pleasant.

yes (only if i knew for sure that I was gonna die). What a better last sight than a beautiful aerial view of Manhattan? Plus I love jumping from things, so it’d be like a final adrenaline rush.

I think that’s what I’d do too. I’d also want to find someone to jump with (like as in hold their hand and jump) because I wouldn’t want to die alone =(
