Yes and your very helpfull. Obviously she would like a suggestion on her work situation. The only thing I could suggest is go to your local community college. Ask for plans that include certificates that also build towards an associate. You and your roommate could varie your scheduals to cut down on sitting costs. If you think that will take to long think of this. Have you ever wished you could go back and be 23 and do things differant? Well, when you get to be 43 you will look back at today, make it count.

When I was a single mom, I was faced with the same difficulty. Also, my children were suffering because I was working long hours. I did not have much energy left for them when I got home from work. I filled out applications for work at the school district office for every job that I thought I could possibly do. Within a week, I was asked to substitute for campus security worker. The job was not fun and it took me more than a year to lock into a permanent position but eventually, I had a good job, with medical benefits. The best part about it was that I was able to at home with my kids when they got home from school. You might be surprised to learn about the great variety of work that is available in schools. I could have been a groundskeeper, a food service worker, or an office worker. Once they found out that I was a reliable worker, there were many opportunities.
