SYSTEM RESTORE!

! so ive been trying to solve this system restore thing for a long time. months ago my computer went crazy and i did the system restore or recovery thing and jus started new. then i found a thing that said restore my computer to an earlier time…will this bring me back to all my old documents..pics..vids ect. or jus restore it to a new computer again???
anything suggestions would really help.

The best thing to do is go back to an earlier time and see what it comes up with. If you dont get the result you want then set it back to what you started with.

When you go to an earlier time with restore it gives you the option to bring it back to the present settings or to change it to a different date.
You can do it as many times as you want.

I think you pick a date from a callender type grid. I use vista now so cant remember all the ins and outs of XP.

your documents and pictures(pretty much everything in my documents) will remain in tact, the rest of your comp will go back to the specified date, once you restore, if you open system restore again, it will give you the option to go back to the previous setting or pick another restore point
