yay! hmmmm…I think we should all quit the sad ones now. Mine for example looks sorta bleak. We’re trying to help people here. Let’s put some humour and/or brightness to our avatars. This is an inspiration to us all…to us all…to us all.
So I’m voting for humour. Without making fun of the help concept off course…just to brighten things up.

I do Martial arts and work with computers but my favourite past time involves anything artistic. That can be poetry, drawing, painting or anything to do with music. Like I’ve said I am an emotional, caring person who sometimes struggles to release his emotions. I actually cried the other day, which I haven’t done it years. In terms of music I like a lot of music but esp. Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix.

In response to your question 2Hazel, my place of perfect happiness would be on a large island. I like plants, so there would be a lot of greenery on it. There would be a stream because I always like being near water. Every one of my family members and friends would be there and there would be peace and harmony. There would be no violence or hatred; the hippie dream :) That’s all I’ve got so far.

To answer your question, I was thinking of a waterfall and star. I didn’t want to say liquid star, falling star seemed depressed and washed up. I was trying to capture you were an earthy gentle helping star.

My oldest son has studied martial arts since the age of 4. He is a very accomplished student and teacher. He holds international titles as well. They have a wonderful philosophy. Does something inspire you there?
It does actually. I know many martial arts come from Japan or China so I could include a bit of culture from these countries combined with the martial arts aspect.
Congratulations to your son btw. I know what it is like to teach martial arts (esp. to kids). It’s a tough task.
I wish he were here and you both could speak. He also does Hapkido and Judo. He is most studied in Tae Kwon Do. I will ask him and see what he comes up with in Martial Arts oriented way.
Yes, I know Tae Kwon Do means “the hand, foot, way”. Do you know the meanings of the styles you study?
Or maybe you could include inspiration from favorite confucius, writings.
It’s good that he does more than 1 martial art; very talented.
I do Ju-Jitsu which means apparantly means “soft and gentle”. Yeah sure lol. I’ve heard of confucius and I think I have got some of his disciplines and writings somewhere. I’ll have to look.
Anyway everybody I have REALLY enjoyed this post and I want to stay. Only it is now 4:00AM and I need to be up for 6:30AM, so I think I need to get some sleep. It will be interesting to see what ideas people come up with. I hope to see some more ideas here when I wake up and remember it can be anything as long as it is not depressing. The thing is what we are doing is we are allowing LOADS of people to pitch in with their ideas and when we have gotten loads together, we (yes, we) are going to decide.
I want a new avatar becuase I’m not unhappy anymore and what we have decided to do is to turn it into sort of a fun post, which people can enjoy by just putting ANY ideas forward.

I Need A New Avatar
A lot of sad things have been happening lately, both here at help.com and at home, which made me change my avatar to the one I have got now. However thanks to some brilliant people here at help, I am feeling much better and want some ideas for a new avatar please.
All you have to do is just make any suggestions, ask any questions and then at the end as a group, you get to decide.

The reason why I put these on is because I am using the ideas that everyone else has put forward. All those there are everyone else’s ideas; none of them are mine.

I need to make this quick point to everyone, which I should have probably done earlier. I’ve noticed that some people have chose option 13. Option 13 was supposed to be Option 11 and 12, not a sunset and sunrise combined. Hotdog came up with the idea.

Oh it’s nice to see that someone has a life so boring that they need to spam my post. It makes my life seem so much better :D Trolls and spammers make me laugh so much.

Oh hi simone. It took me ages to get the confidence to actually put one up. miskat used photoshop to jazz up the image. I decided to close the post but reopened it so that people could comment on it.
