pay cash for everything. No credit cards (unless needed for emergency only) AND no DEBIT card… CASH only. Put all your money into a savings account at a bank… then when you need money you have to go INTO the bank (no ATM card) to get the cash. Lots of hassle… you won’t want to do it unless you need to… or REALLY want to. Make a budget too.

Stop watching advertisements of all kinds (logos, billboards, commercials on tv, theaters,…) Don’t window shop, or look at sale papers (if you become a deal searcher you will buy things just because they are a good deal)… Only buy what you need when you need it (go to the store for a specific list and buy nothing else:). Do not use credit, only spend what you have in hand;) Be careful about putting all your savings in a bank or stocks they are volatile:)

Make a budget. If you get $4000 per month, then split it into $1000 per week. Then put you money into different envelopes. Each envelope will hold an amount of money for a certain thing. Like envelope 1 would have $200 for gas, envelope 2 would have $100 for social stuff. So, when an envelope is finished, you know its done.
Yea, keep it cash in a safe or something. A debit card is to easy to swipe and you don’t keep track of your actual finances!
It really works. But at the end of the day its all discipline…I know…I am struggling to
