Please Could You Help Me With This Question, I’m Not Good At Science When Is Comes To Calculations.
If A Truck Weights 1.2 Tonnes & Is Travelling At 72km/h, What Is The KE?
(Kinetic Energy)
If You Know The Answer Please Tell Me, Thankyou.

Where were you?

I Know, But I Really Need Help :(.
Oh god. It’s physics. That’s like evil math with words!!
If I could find my physics notes I’d look up the equation for you. It should be a simple plug and chug. Google it, and then follow the equation through and you should get your answer
I think you can throw in the numbers and solve.
I don’t have a good calculator here
Thankyou, Alphaknight & Snowflake048.
:)
alpha, if your running windows, meet www.graphcalc.com. its a program that runs on windows, and is what i use for a graphing calculator. its not a perfect calculator substitute, but it will do any calculator function, graph, and best of all its free.
Thanks thisfire-flashfire,
I’ll try that.
:)
Well this being done on my phone right now so I don’t know if it is helpfull now, but I will keep that in mind when I get home
thanks
Thanks Alphaknight, But The Equation Wasn’t Really Helpful, Very Sorry,
Im Stupid :(
Zoeii x
Im Stupid,
Thanks Any Way, Ill Just Tell My Teacher To Stuff That Question Where It Doesn’t Shine.
Science & Maths Is Far From My Strongest Subject.

That equation given by Alphaknight should be enough..
M -> mass -> 1.2 Tonnes –Converting to SI units–> 1200 Kg
V -> velocity -> 72 Km/Hr –Converting to SI units–> 20m/s
Therefore plugging into the equation,
KE = 1/2 * 1200 * 20^2
= 1/2 * 1200 * 400
= 600 * 400
= 240000 Kgm^2/s2
Disclaimer: This calculation may contain few errors. Don’t copy it directly. By the wat, No one is stupid. You may just have some other interest other than in science.
Thankyou!
I’ll Follow That, But What Does The ^’s & *’s Mean?
-Stupid x
^ —> means “raised to the power of”. So when I mean 2^2 its 2 raised to the power of 2, i.e, 4.
* —> is the multiplication sign.
The expression I used for KE is 1/2 * Mass * (Velocity)^2
