24 Ways to reward yourself; what do you reach for when you feel you deserve a reward for a job well done.A beer,a candy bar?

Maybe we just need to give it more forethought and try something different for a change. Enjoy, share, question etc…Reward yourself: See a movie in the middle of the day when the theater’s not full.
* Sit at the beach when it’s empty because everyone else is at work.
* Sleep in until noon, have a leisurely lunch and do nothing for the rest of the day.
* Spend the day with a friend or family member you never get to see because you work so much. Or just call to say hi.

* Buy something that will make your job more enjoyable like a new picture frame for your desk, an
electronic daytimer or a snack-grab bag to keep at work for re-energizing.

Gift Yourself
Buy yourself several gift certificates and tuck them away as rewards as you need them.

Gardening
Plant a tree or flowering plant in your yard or flower box to remind yourself of your
accomplishment. Fill your room, or your house, with fresh flowers.

Relaxing
Take a long, luxurious bath while sipping your favorite drink and listening to your favorite tunes or reading
a novel. If you’re a bibliophile, spend all day in a used bookstore. Catch up on last week’s crossword
puzzles while hanging out in coffee shop. Get Away-
Go on a weekend trip to visit a friend you haven’t seen in some time. Take a train or boat anywhere
and pay attention to the scenery, enjoying the moment(s).

(Wemon) Feel Pretty
Get a makeover at a high-end makeup counter. Try new shades of makeup you wouldn’t normally
choose.

Furry Friends
Spend a day pet shopping, even if you don’t want to buy a new friend. Just spending time holding
puppies and kitties can be delightful and therapeutic.

The best rewards are determined by what you value most. Is it time alone? A gourmet meal? Salon
services? Deciding on a reward ahead of time provides great incentives for accomplishing your goals.

Selecting your own reward often results in as much fun as the actual reward. It doesn’t matter what
you choose, as long as it means something to you.
I know, I need to take this advice too.lol :D

I reward myself for doing things I don’t want to do like visiting difficult relatives. Usually clothes which I wear on the visit.

I blow off unimportant things when I do the important things. (ex- if I finish all the work for my classes, I’ll procrastinate cleaning the toilet in exchange for some great chill time) … of course- the toilet usually gets cleaned while I’m procrastinating doing my homework…

I try not to reward with food though, I have a weight problem, and I try to decrease the emotional positives of excessive food.

Tomorrow I go out of town and stay over night at a huge balloon festival and shop antiques. eating baby back ribs:P. It’s so packed with people you have to walk everywhere:) All the people are nice (45,000) and if anybody even looks angry, they throw them out. I’ve been doing it for years and never miss it. I was threaten once to be fired if I took time off work to go and I went anyway. I told my boss all hell would chase him if he fired me for it…lol and I’d help hell with all the newly acquired free time. He left me alone:) The later part of this statement not recommended for anybody else. Hellion’s are hard to manage..lol

After the toughest year of my life with really nothing to look forward to, only things that I needed to accomplishes to make it through those dark and gloomy days … I rewarded myself with a new computer and friends from all over the world came poring into my life, and a few of those friends rewarded me with their loving spirit and their sunshine…You could say my reward was sunshine that now fills my days…
Oh… if you want a food reward… I sometimes reward myself with Shrimp Szechuan style with Lo mein noodles form best Chinese take-out… =)

OK2BU, It’s proof we tend to attract what we are, loving spirits and sunshine. When ever we talk thats what I see about you, a loving spirit that shines. We are blessed to have you here :) Who says we need $ to make us happy are wrong. As for the shrimp, I’m glad you enjoy it, I’m allergic myself.I’m more of a meat and potato person although I love tuna, catfish and salmon-good stuff :D I checked your posts and don’t see you mentioned anything about your last year, you know I for one am here for you if/when you want to share
