please can u tell me can bt realy charge £200 disconet charge for me to swap to another telephone co.

i have broadband and line since january with them. which cost me £ 49 p . m. i am sure this isnt right. help .

How long was your broadband contract for - it is possible it was for 18 months in which case they will claim you owe them the remainder. I would strongly recommend you go to either the GMTV website and look up broadband connections http://www.gm.tv/http://www.gm.tv/ or go to the money saving website http://www.moneysupermarket.com/?p=0 there is another one I’m trying to think of. But look for GMTV’s financial adviser Richard someone, he has a load of stuff on getting out of this. - Regards Mas

Ask BT how long your contract has left to run. Then wait until the end of it before you swap.

That’s what a contract means.
