‘we burn the cotton fields down in the valley, and

ended up with nothin’ but scars, the scars became the lessons we gave to our children afterall’ -ryan adams

i read someone post something about knowing your history. This holds gravity for me, i’ve lost a lot this year; family, friends and lovers to all things; death, anger jealousy etc.. but i feel numb, i’ve felt it since i was 7 because i don’t think i’ve ever let anyone know me. Life is hard. especially with these fairy tales or horror stories of the world we’re taught by our parents who were taught by theirs. and the more people i meet the more i realize we’re all lost and in this together. everyone wants to be ‘right’ about something and the only thing you can really do in the grand scheme is stay alive, try not to lose any limbs and keep putting yourself out there. now if only it didn’t end with realization for me but a little feeling too…… i don’t really even know what i’m ranting about. my apologies

No apology needed. Apart from anything else you managed to make the google ads section at the bottom of your post throw up some hilarious results! No - you’re not realy alone in thinking like that - and it does change - provided you learn how to let people get to know you……

haha yeah.. the adverts are good. um. i kid of udnerstand where you’re coming from with this rant. my view on life is that we live it, then die. without any real effort put into making something of yourself. sure i’ll go through the motions.. but ull never fully understand why. i feel like im in a bubble. everythings numb.. not really aware of much. never have been.

You are already headed in the right direction, first step is self realization. Life is complex and difficult and comes with no instruction manual. Emotional scars get passed on from generation to generation. One can deliberately break the cycle with awareness. It’s the attitude that matter the most, knowing that you don’t have to be right all the time relieves one of enormous stress. Your observation may be accurate; we are part of a single fabric that makes this universe.

It’s important to note though - we are not always loosing life or limb, there are golden moments laced in between, that we deliberately choose not to focus on. With realization comes the knowledge that all is well just the way it is, in perfect harmony in this exquisite moment. Happiness does not depend upon external factors, it depends on how you choose to feel inside.
