Thinking of God

This post is to Akithma and to all of my friends who are in search of God.

We see you in Creation, Lord, and seeing You, we grow.
You made the stellar universe - each flake of falling snow.
You made the distant galaxies - and graceful larks that sing,
Your hands engraved each tiny line on every insect’s wing,
We read Your plan in history, and the great ocean swell,
We hear your love in children’s prayers and in the evening bell.

Your gifts inspire the artist’s hand. You guide the poet’s pen.
You are the God of Everywhere, the Lord of Everywhen.
You made the Universal Laws that Scientists explore.
You are the God of fearless hearts who seek a distant shore.
And though we cannot comprehend a fraction of your love
Grant us the grace to grow until we meet with You above.

Religion isn’t just some offshoot of your life. My guess is that a lot of people who ask for help on this site are those who have lost their spiritual bearings. If a person is in trouble, any solution that doesn’t take into account that person’s relationship with God is only going to be a partial solution–or no solution at all.

I agree with Chev. Jame. We cant’ shot out God from our lives, our problems. He is not the cause of our or any other problems. People often question and blame God why did he not intervene or do something about before disaster happened. I don’t want to go into lengthy details about this, I don’t want to bore those who don’t believe. I posted this to my friends on this site who questioned things about God. Please skip this post if it does not relate to you. :-)

Thank you all, I really need some encouraging words these days, I see the dark side…my personal life is at stake, I think I have a very abusive partner I wasn’t aware of his behavior before. I tried to think positive and with this poem tried to help myself but I can’t anymore. Long story. :-(

I have no doubts about your making a full recovery, Magdastuar, if you can write a beautiful poem like that! ;-)
