Why did it go to court if all 92 students did not object to the prayer?

I don’t think it just had to with that school only, but for the whole state and the schools in it!
Lovely post Soul - thanks - from Mas (the long term user)

nice i like it…
but can i ask why there was this court ruling???
i love the way he got around it…. i would def appulase that student… x
I imagine that it would be for those who are not of the Christian religion, or religious at all.
Thats cool!
Reminds me of my graduation, where one student, who was said to have not have made it to his senior graduation, walked up to receive his diploma, and the entire class (100s of us) as well as every parent and friend, gave him a standing ovation.
Stuff like that makes me smile :D
Truely amazing
It touched my heart and I hoped it would touch yours:)
Im still not sleep haha. I cant go. But I wonder. Did all the students plan that sneeze? So was it like…When Marc goes up. We are all gonna sneeze. Or did it just naturally happen…..Ahh-Choo? Just like that…Ahh-Choo…Wow. Coolio. Haha I hoped they all brushed their teeth…lol. But I think its a truly devine story.

I guess with all the natural disasters we are having, as well as personal calamities, with all the suicidal thoughts that are raging, the new diseases cropping up, etc. etc…
They should continue their relentless push to remove God from every vestage of our society.
They took him out of schools a long time ago, and look what was reaped…
Now children, are even fearful to go to school.
And how much time and money is spent on trying to make them safe…..
Never heard of anything like that when I was in school.
WE were very proud to ask God to watch over us, as well as to say the pledge of allegiance to our flag. It started the day out on a good note, and fear was never an issue.
We have come a long way, but, in which direction???
Who would have ever thought one would have to conive…
to speak Gods name, in the Land of the Free….
and the Home of the Brave??
Where have they all gone??? :(
Those that made America great…..
And were not afraid to bow their knee before our God.

Look up Deists. And honestly it was kinda insulting for me to have to stand up and pledge allegiance to the Government and some invisible skydaddy. They say its voluntary now, its pure B.S. I tried to opt out of it and my teacher just told me stand up or get detention.

Sorry you feel that way Ghost80; you are missing the point of living…
What is he missing? Cause I sure as hell agree with him and I feel like I’ve never been so alive.

I somewhat agree. I’ve never really believed in a “higher power” of any sort, and it’s better to think that you can use every word in your vocabulary to cuss that guy out and not worry about HE WHO MUST NOT BE NAMED flailing you. And I don’t think anybody follows religion to a T anyway these days. Did they not “trespass against those who trespass against us” in ANY war imaginable? If Jesus died for our sins, than he must have created a monster bigger than religion itself.
as i was scrolling down through the comments quickly to get here and write what i felt as i read this.. i see that there are a lot of people asking for proof that this really happened…
DOES IT REALLY MATTER if it really happened.. its a great story.. and even if its a legend… so what… imagine what this story could do for everyone out there who is denied the right to preach the word of god in anything..
great story hun… hugs
