girl help: I know a girl… - Help.com

Editors:

I know a girl…

The one that’s always lost.
The one with the fake smile.
The girl who seems to be so strong but daily continues to break down.
That girl who’s always there and seems to have no problems of her own.
The one who holds back tears.
The one who keeps her insecurities inside.
The one who laughs the hardest when she just wants to cry.
The girl who everyone thinks they know, but they really only know who she’s pretending to be

So sad, why would anyone want to live a lie?

Soul, it is not nice to live a lie, but sometimes people have to, to save themselves from anymore heartache.

No. Never, never, never, live a lie, I would rather be dead than live a lie.

Well, sometimes it’s not really a choice. It’s kind of forced to live that way.

To live a lie is to lose your soul, your heart, everything you believe in, you will become lost, empty, hopeless:(

Would you prefer to lie and have people who you love happy or tell the truth and hurt them?

You obviously don’t get it. There is no choice. There is no backbone. Once you get sucked in there is no getting out.

There is only one truth, and it is not convoluted.

Sad to say, the people who love me have got to be strong:( There is always a choice. You choose the easy way, but it is not the right way.

It isn’t easy at all, it hurts me deeply, but when I see them smiling I know that I am doing right by them

Then the smiles you give are as false as the origin, and as fragile.

True, but a smile is a smile, nonetheless. It really hurts to lie to people like this, but there is nothing that can be done without hurting everybody… a lot. We just couldn’t do it.

Looks like we will have to agree to disagree, as I would not want my friends to shed tears over me if I can spare them. Bye soul, have fun shopping

Your smiles are plastic, they are not worth anything, there is more to life than pretending my friend, something an average person can not comprehend. A genuine smile is felt, not just admired:).

With a lot of practice, I have been able to fool even the most perceptive people into believing that I am really, truly, happy. When in reality it is the opposite. If you met me, you would think I was a really happy guy, you wouldn’t even realize how it burned me on the inside. Everytime I lie it feels like I am slowly crushing and twisting my heart, and it hurts like nothing I’ve ever known before.

i know always thought that wearing a mask was so not worth it really , all this pain for what? you have to make a decision really , to continue with what you build or take it all down and start all over.
you can trick everybody in the world but you cant trick urself , urself worth being happy you know trying to fit ppls shoe is an endless job
good luck in what ever you choose to do

You are traveling down a slippery slope my friend, you have already passed the crest and are speeding towards the crash.

I am perfectly aware of that. But its more like you say than you may realize, see, we took a wrong turn, and our brakes are shot. We can either swerve and smash into a tree on the side of the road (Admit to true self), or enjoy the time we have left and crash at the end of the road. But there is no real way to turn back.

It’s never too late to be real my friend, it isn’t over until you say it is.
