computer help: HELP! - Help.com

HELP!

the place where u put your headset in your laptop, that part broke and my speaker’s on my laptop wouldnt work , so i bought usb speakers , when i put the usb speaker’s into my laptop nothing happen’s . is it the speaker’s or is it my computer? what should i do ?
does anyy one know howto add a new application like this , oh and the box say’s its for windows XP and i got window’s Vista. Help please. IF your an Expert give me your msn and go on and we can talk there thank’s.
