Feel help: my leg, again… - Help.com

my leg, again…

soo, some of you might have read my last post about my leg feeling like there is a blood clot.

well i went to the ER and they did an ultra sound and the results came out good, — no clot.

they said i must have strained my musclse, but i know this isnt the case at all. ive strained muscles before and it doesnt feel like this, and its been going on for 5 days now and i never even did anything to strain it!

im thinking that maybe i may have a pinched nerve somewhere cause these sensations (this includes, my foot feeling warm, just a tight feeling my calve/leg, parts of my leg might twitch or pulsate sometimes, my foot or leg will feel like it wants to fall asleep, sort of feels numb, and pain is in my hip now.)

anyway.. i dont want to go to the ER again and idk if i go to the doctor they could help me, theyll just refer me to a specialist and that would take more than a month to be seen.

anyone have ideas, on what it could bee? or on what to do??

im hoping its not a clot, they did an ultra sound.. but the power went out before hand and the lady told me the computer was glitching during my test, and right after i got it done, my leg started to hurt in a different place.. and they didnt run the ultra sound thing over that spot.

and yes, neurological, im thinking so too. because, once and a while ill get pains in my arm and wrist.. but thats only once and while out of the day..

while its rare the only thing i can think of is that nerve endings are being exposed. Im sure that there are other possibilities. Have you had a clot before?

I had a pinched nerve once, and it was barely noticeable. On the other hand, I recall my Dad having back surgery and PT for his, so I’m guessing they can some in varying degrees. Since you’ve already been to the ER, perhaps your regular doctor would be willing to refer you to a neurologist w/o an additional office visit? It might take longer to get in, but IMO, specialists are the way to go. General Practitioners know a little about a lot and ER docs barely take the time learn your name. A specialist, on the other hand, is less wont to disregard your symptoms unless it proves to be out of his/her area of practise, in which case they should do a proper referral.

Out of total randomness, I am very happy that you do not have a blood clot. That is actually why, on the TV show “House”, Dr. House walks with a cane.
