Excellent plan!

No but seriously, I suggest you talk to your principal about the responsibilities of the position and what power you would have in it. Then you can make campaign promises accordingly. And if you cannot change something if you were to get elected, say you would “petition the administration for changes” or something to that effect.

Also, people like humor. So if you can post campaign signs around your school (I don’t know if you can or not, perhaps that would be another thing to ask an administrator), use clever jokes, puns, etc to catch people’s attention.

Good luck in the upcoming election.

While this may be the internet, even here things take time. Take a deep breath and relax a bit, eventually users will respond.

I know that it is personal, but what are the issues that make you feel unpopular? Popularity is not the be all and end all if you have friends. It’s amazing how after school you look back and laugh but at the time it is VERY hard!

Maybe if you look at the things that people want and use homour (like seraph said) it will encourage people to vote for you. One of the important things to avoid humiliation is that you need to strike a balance - care about getting the position, but don’t get toooooooo worked up about it.

Well to be honest, its all pretty simple. Never underestimate the effects that kindness has on people- when the kids go to vote they’ll not only be thinking about the promises you make for presidency, they’ll also remember how you made them feel. Be honest, be funny, and don’t trip as your walking up to the podium!

What you need to understand is after your out of school being popular doesn’t even matter if you like who you are don’t try and be someone your not. I agree be kind to everyone around you and hopefully karma works out for you!!
