Day help: I think I need help. - Help.com

I think I need help.

A couple of days ago I posted on here about having ’shudders’, which are like spasm attacks which sometimes cause a sudden lack of breathe and whole body twitching. They’re painful and uncomfortable. When I wrote that, it was only happening about 5 times a day. Now I’ve had about 30 today, and I’m so tired I’m literally on the verge of crying. I’m trying to sleep but lack of distractions just makes them worse. I’m going to get a doctors appointment in the morning, but can anyone think of anything to help at the moment?

umm i would suggest turning off the tv and turning on some quiet music. then just sit there and be calm. dont cry…. just empty everything that might scare or try to hurt u…. just be calm…….

I would try and distract myself by most of these things but its almost midnight here… I’d be asleep if I could.

Hmmm…. I’m not sure, to be honest. I’d never noticed that. I’m not very temperature sensitive - I never have been. I don’t think it is, though.

It’s usually better when I’m around a lot of people I don’t know because I’m distracted from it. It’s hitting me hard when I’m trying to sleep because there’s nothing else happening.

I’m curious about whats causing it. And I’m terrified. And in pain. I know its meant to be normal, which makes it so infuriating.

I don’t want to turn on the TV because its loud and my parents are asleep in the next room. (I’m 18, in case you were wondering if I’m a child or not)

YOu might be having mild seizures. Go to that doc appt tomorrow. If it gets real bad, go to the ER. Don’t mess around with stuff like that. Get it checked out PRONTO.

Dragonlady might be right. Turn OFF your TV and go wake up your parents. This is not normal.
