aol help: I had a new hard drive put in a couple of months ago. - Help.com

I had a new hard drive put in a couple of months ago.

Since then, I have been getting a lot of spam and error messages asking if I want to debug? I no longer have any virus protection. Every time I try to download the free McAfee virus protection the error messages prevent me from doing so. I have an AOL address, but have Broadband through Charter Cable. Am I still eligible for the free downloads? Is there something you can do to help me rectify the problem or not? For a while I wasn’t even able to download 9.1, due to the error messages. I just recently was able to.

Are you looking for answers about problems with your AOL service?

I’d like to recommend that you ask AOL directly since they are best suited to help you.

For AOL support, you can visit the AOL support site or even call them at an AOL toll free number.

Run a scan. Norton, AVG , Avast are free antivirus software. Ad-aware, Spybot, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at http://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html . You can also run a free registry scan using utilities from http://re7.info
